How does booking a cleaning work?

Tell us your town, the size of your home or space and the service you need. We answer the same day when possible, within 24 hours at most.

Get your quote
We prefer to see the home before quoting, and quote without a visit when that works better. The price is set before cleaning day.

Cleaning day
Book at least 24 hours ahead. A key or door code is fine, and we bring all the supplies.
- 4
The 24-hour check
If something is not right, tell us within 24 hours and we come back and redo it at no cost.
How is the price set?
Every quote is based on your home or space, and it is fixed before cleaning day. Send us the size of your home, office or space by text, WhatsApp or the form, and you will get a quote promptly.
- Home size (bedrooms and bathrooms): the main driver.
- Condition: more build-up since the last professional clean means a longer visit.
- Service type: deep, move and post-construction cleaning include more items.
- Add-ons: oven, fridge, windows, laundry, linen change and dishes, only when you ask.
- Empty or furnished: inside cabinets are cleaned only in empty homes.

How long does a cleaning take?
It depends on the size and condition of the home and on the service. Extol never rushes: the team takes the time a complete job needs, not too fast and not too slow.
How much does cleaning cost in Greater Boston?
Every quote is based on your home: its size in bedrooms and bathrooms, its condition, the service and any add-ons. Send us the size of your home or space by text, WhatsApp or the form, and you will get a quote promptly.
How can I pay?
Zelle, Venmo, credit card, check or cash.
What if I’m not happy with something?
Tell us within 24 hours of the visit and we come back and redo it at no cost.
Which towns do you serve?
We serve 20 Massachusetts towns, 3 Boston neighborhoods (South Boston, Charlestown and East Boston) and Salem, NH, from our base in Malden.
How often should I book after the first visit?
Most homes stay on track with a weekly, biweekly or monthly visit. A deep cleaning first, then recurring visits, keeps the build-up from coming back.
Do I need to be home or provide supplies?
No. A key or door code is fine, and Extol brings all the supplies and equipment, with an eco-friendly option on request.
A standard cleaning or a deep cleaning: which do I need?
If the home is in fair shape, a standard house cleaning is enough. If it has not had a professional clean in months, start with a deep cleaning, which adds the oven, fridge, interior windows, baseboards, doors and light fixtures.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give us 48 hours’ notice. Cancelling between 48 and 24 hours before the visit costs 50% of the visit; under 24 hours costs the full price.
